Milford 12 - Llangwm 12

With Pembroke Dock not having a side, today our U8s faced Milford Haven on the 4G surface.
We had a few unavailable today but still managed to field a squad of 12 for 4 10 minute quarters.
For first time in a while we kicked off in dry weather! Both teams roared on by a large crowd.  A close game was expected as the results between the two sides was 1 win a piece this season.
Llangwm started the strongest, recycling the ball and scoring with their first set of 6 tags.  The team immediately switched into defence mode, gaining some great tags and forcing the turnover by keeping Milford out. Great work team!
When the time came to bring on fresh legs, the finishers did exactly that. Adding energy to both the attacking and defensive sets and never letting the pressure up on a very good Milford team.
The supporters were treated to an exciting match with some incredible tries and even better tagging.  The interplay that we have been working on in training was apparent as players passed quickly, often saving tags with the quick offload. At some points the match got a little physical, demonstrating our mighty Wasps are eager for the contact that next season will bring!
The final score was 12 all, I don't have a list of scorers as our usual scorer was absent today.
