Following a change of pitch, the U9 were fortunate to get another game this season, although the wind was a bit on the cold side! The young Wasps should be proud of the way they played against a strong Haverfordwest side, and the continued improvement they have shown over the past couple of months. The final score probably didn't truly reflect the way the boys played, and the last 10-min quarter was hard work, but something I am sure they will all benefit from in the long term. Iestyn, Manny and Leo were ever-present and Llangwm looked good with the ball in hand and had the confidence to play, although sometimes the final pass was a little too ambitious. Harry, George, Lucas and Trystan were always busy in attack and defense, and it was a great team effort. A few early turnovers, and a difficult last quarter up the hill, saw Haverfordwest win 12 - 6. Big thank you to our new signing Leo, and the 4 Haverfordwest players who took it in turns to play for us. It was a great game to watch, physical but with good sportsmanship.
